Providing naloxone to illicit drug users has been successfully used to reduce risk in this population for about 20 years and is increasingly being used as a risk mitigation strategy in patients on opioids for chronic pain.

September 2012, HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton visited Hospis Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and gave her first speech overseas to lend support to the development of paediatric palliative care here in Malaysia. Governor Brown Signs SB1004 | Children’s Hospice and Palliative Care Coalition

Gov. Jerry Brown signed Senate Bill 1004 (Hernandez), paving the way for Medi-Cal to establish palliative care standards and provide technical assistance to Medi-Cal managed care plans on the authorization and delivery of palliative care services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries of all ages.
